DAY 1

Welcome in Managua's airport. Transfer and accommodation in Managua.



DAY 2

Breakfast in the hotel and Tour for Managua city, the Old Cathedral, the Palace of the Culture, the National Theatre Rubén Darío, Xolotlán Lake, Tiscapa Lake and the Malecón, and other places. Departure to León city. Visit to the Cooperative Central of León. 

Visit to León Viejo, which was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 2001. Furthermore of the historical interest there is the landscape between Xolotlán lake and Momotombo volcano. The visitors, also could know and taste the famous “quesillo”( it is a kind of cheese which is roll in an omelette, with cream, onion and salt). Accommodation in the city.



DAY 3

Tour around León city, which is one of the more impresive colonial cities in America. It has more than 17 colonial churches, the biggest and one of the most beautiful cathedral in the whole Central America, the Recoleccion’s Church, the Merced, San Francisco and the San Pedros’ Chapel. Free afternoon and/or additional tours (Cerro Negro, Isla Juan Venado, Tour del Ron). Accommodation in León.



DAY 4

Breakfast and transfer to Masaya by bus. Visit to the National Park Masaya volcano. Visit to the craftwork Market in Masaya. Visit to Catarina viewpoint and San Juan de Oriente. Tranfers to Granda and accommodation in the city.



DAY 5

Tour for Granada city:  Colon’s Park, the Cathedral, the House of the Big France, the House of the Three Worlds, Merced’s Church, San Francisco’s Monastery,… Boat trip around Granada’s islets, which are a group of 365 small, volcanic origin islands, in the Cocibolca lake. Accommodation in Granada.



DAY 6

Breakfast in the hotel and transfer to Puerto San Jorge, there we will take a ferry to Ometepe island. Ometepe is the biggest sweet water island in the world and is created by two amazing volcanoes, the Maderas and the Concepcion Volcanoes. 

Furthermore, Ometepe has a very interesting and diverse fauna, an enormous diversity of birds and fish and amazing vegetation too. In Ometepe we could find a pre-Columbian culture, the Water Eye, the volcanoes…Transfer to the hotel and accommodation over there.



DAY 7

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Petroglifos. Visit to the museums. free time to go for a walk, enjoy resting on santo domingo beach seachore. Night in Ometepe.



DAY 8

Transfer to Muelle and way back to San Jorge by ferry. We will begin our trip to the Pacific in San Juan del Sur by bus. First we will do a stop in Belén. There we will visit the processing center of Belen’s honey. A group of enterprising women get to develop an important economic activity based on honey production and others products.

Arrival to San Juan del Sur, accommodation and free afternoon.



DAY 9

Breakfast at the hotel and free day to enjoy the excellent beaches and beautiful bays. Accommodation in San Juan del Sur.



DAY 10

Breakfast at the hotel and trip by bus to San Carlos, where we will begin the route by San Juan River. In our way we will visit a diversification ranch ( the Don Teófilo farm). There we will know the productions problems in relation with internacional markets. Luch in the farm. Arrival to San Carlos and transfer to the hotel. Free afternoon.



DAY 11

Breakfast in the hotel and transfer by canoe to Archipiélago de Solentiname, which has 36 islands. Visit to Zapote Island, also called Bird’s island because there, every year nest migratory birds. 

Then we will arrive to Mancarron Island. Created there was an important local community based on Liberation Theology. Carlo Mejís Godoy’s Farmer Mass was born there. We will know some activities such as craftwork, painting and fishing. Accommodation and dinner in the island.



DAY 12

Breakfast and departure by canoe through Papaturro River. We will arrive to The Guatusos which is a unique place Central America and it was the first wetland in Nicaragua with the category “Ramsar”. It is 430 square kilometres where we could find lakes, wetlands, and dry and wet forests. And also there are a big variety of species: monkeys, crocodiles, turtles, iguanas, jaguars, etc. There we will visit cocoa products cooperative. We could talk with the women who work in the cooperative and we could taste the cocoa.

Way back to mancarrón island, visiting San fernando Island where we could know the primitive painters. Accommodation and dinner in the island.



DAY 13

Breakfast. Transfer by canoe to San Carlos. Way back to Managua by bus. Accommodation and goodbye dinner in Managua.



DAY 14

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport. End of the servicies.
