Agro-industry Cooperative of Fruits and Process Products R.L (CAPFRUPP)
The Agro-industry of Fruits and Process Products R.L (CAPFRUPP) are formed of a group of women from the Belen area (Nicaragua). These women, after a few years of work, have achieved the legal constitution of a cooperative.
This process takes part in a strong will of that group of women, who belong to different farmer communities. They try to find, in an organized way, a viable method to reduced poverty levels and constitute like local economic producers.
In this moment, the strategy consists to offer support and training to this women’s cooperative in order to successfully begin as a small business.
This project takes part in a larger design which looks to reinforce two cooperatives, 4 production collectives and individual producers and, at the same time, support the producers development from 12 rural communities in Nicaragua (Belen, Mateare and Ciudad Sandino). With this project, many women and families will benefit.
