FECODESA means The Federation of Cooperatives for Nicaragua Development, and it was found on 28 November 2007. FECODESA is a third degree cooperative composed of thirteen unions and cooperative centrals, and a non-profit foundation.
These unions and cooperative’s centrals consist of 116 basic cooperatives which gather 4879 partners.
These partners are 50,8% women and 49,2% men.
These centrals and unions of cooperatives make diverse economic activities which include: financial services, production of basic grains, seeds, vegetables, coffee, tobacco, fruit and ranching.
They also make activities of agro-industry, commercialization and community, and rural tourism.
